Online Basic Principles of Residential Ventilation

Through this online course, participants are introduced to the basic principles of residential ventilation. We start by defining the concept known as “House as a System”; the flow of air, heat, and water and how these impact natural ventilation (aka air leakage). Then we move on to describing the theory of mechanical airflow including air pressure, duct resistance, and fan ratings. A review of the impact on combustion appliances, humidity levels, and indoor air quality is also provided.

There are lots of visuals and periodic quizzes to reinforce the learning objectives!

2 Day Air Tightness & Blower Door Workshop

Attention Builders and Renovators!

Are you struggling to get below a 2.5 air change per hour (ACH) on your energy evaluation? Have you ever imagined what it would be like to get a 1.0 or better yet, a 0.5 ACH?

This is the course for you!

In this workshop, we dive deeper into the air tightness of a house and how proper air sealing can help you obtain those ACH targets that you never thought were possible.

We start off with a half day in classroom training and then move to a house to do some on the job training for the second half of the day and the next day. We will show you how to operate a blower door and even give you the option to rent one that you can use while you seal your next projects!

Pretty cool, right?

This is a brand new workshop so take advantage while you can and challenge yourself to enhance your air sealing practices.
